Committees

Alumni Engagement

The Alumni Engagement Committee is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between current students and alumni. Through panels, on-campus events, and active communication, we aim to strengthen the program’s legacy of excellence by leaning on and engaging with the alumni who have worked so hard for that Bobcat Family legacy to stay true.

International

The International Committee is dedicated to growing the Ohio Sports Ad International student base, as well as helping plan international recruiting trips. The International Committee knows the importance of their role within the program as multiple countries are represented currently as well as in the OU alumni network.

Fundraising

The Ohio Sports Ad Fundraising Committee’s goals are to develop and help run fundraising initiatives to raise funds for the program towards experiential learning opportunities such as conferences, SuperBowl Trip, case study competitions, and more.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Our DEI Committee seeks to promote inclusive representation and foster an environment where all students feel seen and valued. We want to engage and educate the community to increase awareness and understanding of DEI issues within the sports industry. We also want to celebrate the cultural heritage and diverse backgrounds of our students and alumni and build connections with industry leaders who represent diverse backgrounds.

Community Service

The Sports Ad Community Service Committee strives to promote program interaction within the greater Athens community and enhance student experiences by providing opportunities for service outside of athletics to give back to the community.

O'Malley

The Walter O’Malley Committee is dedicated to organizing and executing the annual O’Malley Sports Cup, a series of inclusive, inter-class competitions featuring sports like soccer, basketball, kickball, football, pickleball, and more. Our goal is to build camaraderie, inspire teamwork, and create unforgettable moments that unite students in a spirited and friendly rivalry.

Race for a Reason

The Race for a Reason Committee bridges the gap between the Athens community and the MSA Program through a yearly community service event. The race is able to create a presence of the MSA program in the Athens community as well as help raise money for important causes while the MSA students have helped grow this race yearly.

Social

The social committee is dedicated to building a Bobcat family where we celebrate our successes, lift each other up, and enjoy every moment together. While the Sports Administration program is about hard work and dedication, we all know Bobcats like to have fun along the way. Here, we bring passion, purpose, and camaraderie to every experience, making each step of the journey on Court Street unforgettable.
