Account Executive – Sports, Lifestyle & Entertainment Marketing Agency

Growing Sports, Lifestyle & Entertainment marketing agency is seeking an Account Executive experienced in working in a fast-paced environment to lead account management and project activation duties for integrated sports marketing programs.  This person will also support general office operations.  Possessing 2-5 years of experience supporting demanding clients and creating/executing programs for top brands, the ideal candidate will be an energetic, next generation strategic and creative thinker with strong organization and planning skills, and high-level attention to detail, that is ready to take their talent to the next level in an organization that rewards initiative.

The Account Executive will work directly with the account team to help drive development and activation of a high-profile client’s marketing initiatives and support the Chief Operating Officer in ensuring the day-to-day business of the agency are well supported.  Candidate will assist/supervise the creative and tactical development, as well as execution of, national and local market branded activities, including (but not limited to) consumer promotions, sponsorship, experiential/event, as well as integrated programming with related individual support marketing activities, with measurable tracking and ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive direct client interaction, communication and confirmation that all client deliverables are being met
  • Coordination, management and execution of all aspects of multiple marketing activity functions
  • Participate in regular conference calls with brand teams and client’s marketing managers to provide status updates and relevant post-event tracking metrics
  • Support the account teams in any incremental brand POVs, project recommendations, or any “big idea” concept development based on current brand strategy and messaging
  • Support general agency business-driving initiatives to help foster a culture of winning, growth, and future-forward thinking
  • Coordination, management and execution of all aspects of multiple marketing activity functions
  • Ensure on-time delivery of projects by developing and managing production timelines
  • Account budget management including management of invoicing, payments and all activation costs
  • Calendar management and travel booking for President and CEO
  • Assist with agency social/digital media assignments, as needed, under direction of Chief Operating Officer or designated member of agency teams

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing/Communications or relevant major
  • 2-5 years of experience in out-of-the box brand marketing program management/development, promotional, sponsorship, and/or experiential marketing, or field marketing activities with a marketing agency and/or on brand management
  • Experience in on-site activation/execution with direct event management and planning responsibilities.
  • Flexible, positive, self-starter, confident, energetic with entrepreneurial spirit and propensity to drive the business (both account and agency)
  • Creative Problem solver with ability to prioritize multi-task workload, work independently and troubleshoot issues
  • Strong listening, writing, and computer skills (Must be skilled in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and creating/managing Excel budgets)
  • Strong organization, time management and dependability, able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional image and high level of integrity; strong desire to win
  • Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Comfortable interacting with all kinds of people, including senior level partners and clients
  • Desire to participate in intra-agency, cross functional operational and business-driving initiatives/activities
  • Available to work and travel during the week, nights and weekends as required
